Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk which is the capital city of Belarus. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father, a hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born May 5th, 1998, at Minsk Belarus. Aryna Sabalenka has twelve WTA Singles titles, one that was awarded the title "Grand Slam" at the Australian Open 2023. Her doubles game is excellent and she has also won Majors in her first major tournaments, the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), each of them with Elise Mertens. In 2019, she took home two majors, her first WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian partner, completing the Sunshine Double. Only four women's pairs have achieved this feat. In January 2023, she reached her highest ranking in singles. The 23rd day of August, 2021 she was promoted to the second spot in the World rankings. She rose to the top of the doubles rankings in the following year, after winning at Melbourne. She became the only Belarusian tennis player to be successful in tennis. She was coached by the former Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the season in 2019 and partly at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann worked with her for short periods from August 2020 to September. Antonio Dubrov is her coach who has been with her since the beginning of 2020. Her heroes are Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
